Fully Involved: September 14, 2022

Greetings,

As we move into the latter days of summer, we are excited to be back in person at an annual conference, in Columbus.  We have an exciting line up of classes, both in person and hands on. The hands-on classes can be attended separate from the full conference, at no cost.

The hands-on classes are forcible entry, basic to advanced search, Swiftwater rescue techniques, Volunteer Passenger Vehicle Initial Fire Attack, and Volunteer Firefighter Survival Skills - Maze.  These classes will all occur on Saturday October 1.

GSFA will be having elections and the voting delegate form is attached and will also be available at Credentials on site.  As a reminder, the by-laws state that the delegate and alternative delegate must provide a letter from their fire chief designating them as such, and each department gets one vote per ten members, up to ten votes.

The announced candidates are as follows:

               President – Gary Clark

1st VP- Mark Ware, Mike Byrd

               2nd VP – Craig Dukes

               3rd VP - Jeff Hardin

Director at Large – Jason Amerson, Otis “Calvin” Hitchcock

Treasurer – Bruce King, Tyshon Reed Sr.
