Obituary Information for George "Bubba" Julius Deverger

 

It is with deep regret to report an LODD of a Georgia firefighter. George "Bubba" Julius Deverger passed away on August 5th after a long battle with cancer. “Bubba” was a 46 year decorated firefighter and EMT, serving 39 years at U.S. Naval Sub Base Kings Bay, and beginning his career with the McIntosh County Fire Department and the Glynn County Fire Department. He served for four terms as a County Commissioner, helping bring new jobs and development, and taking care of rural citizens and their tax dollars.


Visitation services will be held on Friday, August 14th at Edo Miller in Brunswick from 6-8 o'clock.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15th at Edo Miller in Brunswick at 10AM, Mr. David Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery, Darien, GA.
