Valor Station

Dear Georgia Firefighters,

As some of you know, especially in the Augusta area, we have been fighting (the county commissioners and the courts) to open Valor Station-Augusta. To get to the point we are at today has taken six years. We are happy to report that we will be officially open on April 1st!

Valor Station is an intensive outpatient (IOP) facility for First Responders, by First Responders. We are the only First Responder-exclusive 501c3 recovery facility in the nation. We are in historic downtown Augusta, along the Savannah River. Most programs are 28 days but can go longer on a case-by-case basis. Firefighters, Law Enforcement Officers, Medics, Corrections Officers and 911 Operators can have reactions to the things we encounter at work that the general public may never understand. Unique problems call for a unique solution. Our goal and bottom line at VS is to return First Responders to their jobs and families happier and healthier. Please call if there is anything I can do or answer any questions. I have attached the link to our website. Since we are a non-profit, we will rely heavily on donations to stay up and running. If you know of anyone who can help, please pass this along. If you know a first responder who needs help, most definitely, please pass this along! We have an amazing staff and will only grow moving forward.

Thanks,

Andy
