The NVFC is pleased to team up with Nutella for the third year for the Nutella Stacks for Giving Back program. Thanks to support from Nutella and Pearl Milling Company, 10 volunteer fire departments will receive a $5,000 grant to fund resources and necessities. In addition, departments can be nominated for the chance to receive one of 350 Pancake Breakfast Kits to support their next fundraiser. A press release is attached to share with your audience. The deadline to apply is April 30.

NVFC hosts Incident Safety Officer Training June 16 2026 6-10pm at Tri-County Community College Murphy NC. Registration open for first responders and agencies in NC.
TRANSCAER Ethanol Emergency Response Webinar covers key safety practices for first responders. Training enhances preparedness for ethanol-related incident responses.
State Farm Good Neighbor Program awarded 1.5 million to 150 volunteer fire departments in 2025. Each received 10000 for essential firefighter safety equipment needs.
GPSTC Fire Department Executive course May 4-8 2026 for chief officers. Fire Officer IV certification testing. Prerequisite Fire Officer III or Admin Officer course.
GSFA calls firefighters to attend SB 143 vote at Capitol today at 1:45pm in uniform. Report to Coverdell Building Room 506 to demonstrate fire service unity support.
GSFA urges members to contact Retirement Committee to support Senate Bill 143. Subcommittee meeting scheduled Tuesday 2-4pm at Coverdell Building. Action needed now.
Georgia Senate Bill 143 proposes updates to Firefighters Pension Fund to improve retirement flexibility and workforce retention. GSFA Board supports the legislation.

2026 Georgia Fallen Heroes Classic Golf Tournament April 24 at Lake Jonesco benefiting Georgia Public Safety Memorial Fund. Fee 250 per team. Sponsorships available.
