Fully Involved: Life Safety Code Course - Pickens County

Fire Service Leaders, 

The Georgia Fire Academy is offering our course Life Safety Code on November 7-9, 2023 in Pickens County, Georgia. The course will be held at the Pickens Community Center, 1329 Camp Rd, Jasper, Georgia, 30143, in Room 3.

 

This course will provide the student with an introduction and overview of the Life Safety Code and how it applies to fire inspections and code enforcement activities.Students will review the specific requirements of each section of the code, determine building and fire protection requirements, egress requirements, and apply the code to practical activities based on occupancy and hazard classification.

 

This course is designed for public safety personnel who will have the primary responsibility of conducting Fire and Life Safety Code Inspections and Fire Service Plans Review.


Attendance of this course is recommended, but not required, prior to attending Georgia Fire Inspector I.


Students must provide:

1. NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, (Current - Adopted Ed.)

2. Calculator with square root function.
