2025 Firefighter Annual Recognition Day

and Annual Legislative Appreciation & Awards Dinner

We are excited to share a special photo gallery from the 2025 Firefighters Recognition Day, which took place on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Now in its 53rd year, this significant event brought together state leaders, fellow firefighters, and experts for valuable networking and discussions about the future of fire service in Georgia. Established by law, this day serves as both a celebration of the fire service community and a recognition of the incredible contributions you make every day.

The day began at the State Capitol, where state leaders honored the dedication of fire service personnel and presented commendations to award recipients from the Georgia State Firefighters Association, Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs, and Georgia Fire Inspectors Association.

Later that evening, more than 200 fire service members and legislators gathered at the Georgia Freight Depot for a memorable barbecue dinner, expertly prepared by the Vienna Fire Department. The Awards Ceremony followed, celebrating the top achievements of the year.

We hope you enjoy viewing the photo gallery, and thank you again for all that you do for our community.
